Cobblestone Quilt Along

I am so excited to share my Cobblestone quilt today with the Fat Quarter Shop!  This pattern is quick, easy and fun!  The big blocks make this go together in a snap!  As soon as I saw the pattern, I knew it would be a perfect quilt to show off my favorite prints.  I picked The Good Life by Bonnie and Camille for Moda.  I am a bit obsessed with their fabrics, so it is no surprise this was my pick.

I mean, isn’t this fabric beautiful?

The pattern offers different size options.  I chose to make the twin size quilt.  I was going to make a throw size, but realized with only 5 extra fat quarters, I could have a twin!  Did I mention this pattern is fast?  My goal is to get a twin size quilt on each of my kids’ beds.  One down, four more to go!  Yikes!

I spent more time trying to decide which prints to use and where to put them than actually sewing.  The twin size quilt uses 25 fat quarters.  My daughter loves blues.  So I used most of the navy and aqua prints in this fabric line. I hope she loves it as much as I do!

The baby quilt uses only 10 fat quarters.  I think I found my ‘go-to’ baby quilt!  I keep imagining cute novelty prints or another Bonnie and Camille baby quilt with this pattern.

The Cobblestone quilt is perfect to show off those large scale prints that are hard to cut up.  Or maybe that’s just me.  Haha.  I especially love the way the navy floral looks in my quilt!  I think that’s my favorite print which is why it is in the center.

Quilting is a family affair around here!  I asked my daughter to help me photograph this quilt.  Here’s a little outtake from our photo shoot!

Thanks for stopping by!  I absolutely loved making this quilt!  Thanks again to the Fat Quarter Shop for letting me participate!  The pattern can be found here or you can watch the youtube video here.

Chirp out!
