Hi! It’s the second week of the Jolly Bar 3 quilt along with Fat Quarter Shop! If you missed my first post, you can check it out here. The cutting instructions for the second block- Homecoming were posted on the Fat Quarter shop website. You will need the Jolly Bar Volume 3 book for the pattern.
To make this project you will need your favorite jolly bar (or layer cake) and some background fabric. I am using a Cider layer cake by Basic Grey for Moda. I absolutely love this line! It is the perfect Fall colors.

Don’t tell any of the other blocks, but this one is my favorite! I love a good house block and this one does not disappoint! I am changing the layout from a table runner to a table topper! So I made the houses symmetrical by switching the door placement. I am stitching these up with my favorite Aurifil thread. I use 2021 since it matches with everything. And 50 wt. is great for piecing and quilting!
I think the tops of these houses turned out so cute! I couldn’t complete them without what I call the pressing dream team! I use my pink mini Oliso iron to press. Then I place my Riley Blake Designs clapper on top. My blocks are so flat!

This coral floral is so cute! I am also using Vanilla Grunge as the background for this table topper. I love a good grunge fabric. They add a little bit of texture to a mostly solid fabric.

My Homecoming blocks are done and I love them! These little houses will look so cute in my table topper.

Thanks for following along today! If you would like to see more of what I am up to, you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and subscribe to my new YouTube channel.
Chirp Out!
