Hi and welcome to the fourth release for the Serendipity Quilt along with Fat Quarter Shop! I am excited to share my blocks with you today.

I am using Bonnie and Camille’s fabric line Shine On. And I couldn’t love this line more! I am a huge Bonnie and Camille fan and this line does not disappoint!

The Serendipity Quilt is Fat Quarter Shop’s yearly charity quilt. This quilt along will benefit to Make-a-Wish Central and South Texas. This is a FREE pattern that you can download here.

Let’s chat about half square triangles (HST). I love stitching up HST and using them in a quilt. I don’t love trimming and trimming and trimming them! I have fallen in love with my Go! Qube 8″ Mix and Match Set. I get perfectly trimmed HST every time. The best part? No trimming!
Once I am done assembling my HST, I give them a good press. I am using what I call the pressing dream team! I press my HST with my mini pink Oliso iron. Then I place my Riley Blake Designs clapper on the seam for a bit. My seams are so flat!

I am also using my favorite Aurifil thread 50 weight. I am using 2021 which is a nice neutral. I recently switched to a cone because I was going through spools of thread so quickly. I guess that means I sew a lot!

I cut out the rectangles with my Go! Qube 4″ Mix and Match Set. I have never enjoyed cutting out small pieces. So this new Go! Qube set is the best! Tiny pieces all cut out! With everything all cut out, all that is left is to assemble!

Aren’t these blocks sew cute? I am loving the navy rainbows as the accent! I also used a couple of other rainbow prints for these blocks. Is there such thing as too many rainbows? And of course I LOVE the pink mums!

I am loving this sewing box! I found it at Ikea. It is the perfect size to store all of my Serendipity blocks as I work on them! I love these blocks all stitched up!

Thanks for stopping by! If you would like to see more of what I am up to you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and subscribe to my new YouTube channel.
Chirp Out!
